We Are Musicians

We Are Artists

We Are Part Of A Team

We Are Held To High Expectations

We Are Valued

We Are Important

Harmony Project Ventura began in 2011 with one teacher, 30 elementary school children from Sheridan Way, and 30 generously donated Home Depot buckets we used as drums to teach our first crop of 3rd grade musicians.

Working with the model of our parent program, Harmony Project Los Angeles, and our community partners, we have been able to take root and grow rapidly in Ventura.  In 2012, we were adopted by the New West Symphony as one of their education programs. As of 2017, we are proud to report several of our students are excelling in their freshman and sophomore years in high school and we’re looking forward to celebrating our first graduating class in 2020.

Because of generous donations and volunteers, Harmony Project Ventura now includes over 150 students from 8 different schools, 10 teaching artists, and a growing waiting list of students that are eager to join us.
